AV8 Limited Performance Warranty

1. Warranty Overview

AV8 Reactive Polymer Coating is covered by a 24-month limited performance warranty, ensuring the product will perform as intended when properly applied and maintained under normal operating conditions.

 

AV8 is specifically engineered for use on aircraft exterior surfaces, including composite and aluminum airframes, and is fully compliant with applicable service advisories such as Cirrus SA25-02.

 

      This warranty guarantees:

• Durable, high-gloss finish retention

• Long-lasting hydrophobic behavior (water beading, self-cleaning effect)

• Enhanced resistance to UV exposure and environmental contaminants

• Safe use on composite surfaces, without impact on static dissipation or lightning protection systems

 

2. Eligibility & Terms of Coverage

This limited warranty is valid only when:

• The product is applied by an authorized AV8 installer or trained aircraft detailing professional

• Application is performed in accordance with the official AV8 Technical Data Sheet (TDS)

• The aircraft surface is properly prepped (degreased, cleaned, decontaminated and polished to remove oxidation) prior to application

• Maintenance is carried out using pH-neutral, non-abrasive cleaning products as recommended

 

3. Recommended Reapplication

While AV8 is warrantied for 24 months, reapplication is recommended every 12 months or 200 hours to ensure optimal surface protection and appearance.

Reapplication is especially recommended under the following conditions

:

• High-frequency flight operations

• Exposure to harsh environmental factors (e.g., salt air, high UV, industrial fallout,frequent deicing)

• Heavy accumulation of contamination (bugs, fuel/oil residue, soot)

Reapplication Extends Warranty with Each Reapplication, it is reccommended that aircraft be polished prior to initial application and every five years thereafter.

 

4. Exclusions

This warranty does not apply in cases of:

​

• Improper application or application on inadequately prepared surfaces

• Use on vinyl wraps, raw plastics, unpainted composites, or rubberized trim

• Damage resulting from chemical abuse, deicing fluids, bird strikes, or abrasion

• Negligence, improper maintenance, or incompatible cleaning agents

• Cosmetic deterioration caused by physical wear or misuse

 

5. Claims Process

To submit a warranty claim, the aircraft owner/operator must:

1. Provide proof of coating registration of AV8, application date, tail number and batch number (Located On Bottom of Bottle)

2. Submit a written description of the issue with photographic evidence

3. Permit inspection by an authorized AV8 installer or representative

​

If the claim is validated, AV8 Coatings will provide one of the following remedies at its discretion:

​

• Replacement product at no cost

• Partial or full product credit toward reapplication

• Technical guidance or inspection report for resolution

​

Labor or application services are not included under this warranty.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

AV8 Coatings’ total liability is strictly limited to the replacement value of the product. Under NO circumstances shall AV8 Coatings an SJA AeroCare Inc. Compnay. be liable for:

​

• Aircraft downtime

• Loss of use or revenue

• Consequential or incidental damages of any kind

• Labor For Reapplacation

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This limited warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

​

Any disputes arising from or relating to this warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and the customer expressly waives any objection to venue or personal jurisdiction in those courts.

​

In the event of legal action, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs incurred in connection with the enforcement or defense of this warranty.
